Nurseries in Huddersfield
Learning is primarily based on play and exploration with termly topics to keep young imaginations inspired. We use the Read Write Inc literacy scheme and the Abacus Mathematics programme to develop basic writing and numeracy skills and have specialist teachers for PE and Movement, Cookery, Music and Role Play.
The Early Years Department also benefits from an excellent outdoor environment and play area, and children enjoy a range of Forest School activities, such as leaf sorting and identifying insects.
All stages in a child’s progress and their memorable moments are documented in their Record of Development, which becomes a lovely keepsake for parents.
Head of Early Years
We aim to make education in EYFS as enjoyable and stimulating as possible, guided by rigorous policy, monitoring of progress and staff training. With us, children start to learn the key skills, such as listening to teachers and to each other, which are the building blocks of early education. The School Inspection Service team, on their most recent visit in 2014, said the provision for pupils in Kindergarten and Reception classes was excellent.
Government funding is available in accordance with current legislation and we also accept a range of childcare vouchers.
