Since debuting in the league table back in 2018, our School now stands proudly in the Top 20 Schools according to The Sunday Times.

Meet our Headteacher, Stuart Rees

Mr Rees brings with him a wealth of experience, with almost 25 years in teaching. He is most passionate about developing pupils’ character, via the HGS Identity, to equip them socially and emotionally for the needs of the modern world.

Amazing news to start off Autumn Term 2024!

Year 11’s Jody has been competing at the School Games Finals for Team Yorkshire this week, partaking in road and track, with multiple team and individual events in each discipline.

Jody and Team Yorkshire finished 5th overall after an amazing team performance, showing true grit and determination - a HGS identity trait.

Year 11’s Sam was out of the country to pick up his GCSE results so his grandma revealed them to him live on FaceTime - how daunting!

Sam did brilliantly (4 Grade 9s and 2 Grade 8s) and of course, we had to get a photo of Sam and his lovely grandma celebrating all his hard work and determination 🧑‍🎓
