The Headmaster’s Blog
After the excitement of today’s Children in Need fundraising activities in school, we can now turn our attention to two very special events in the annual school calendar.
On Thursday 30th November, all are welcome to attend Christmas in the Courtyard on the front lawn, at which we will be showcasing a range of our musical talent as we bring in the festive season. Please do come along to sample the Christmas stalls, which will be selling a range of items including wine, cheese and Christmas gifts.
As ever, the ever-popular ice rink will return and we look forward to a wonderful, carol-filled celebration.
On Saturday 2nd December, a Stay and Play event will be held on the school site from 9.30-11.30am for prospective students in the Early Years and Pre-Prep. Every Pre-Prep child at HGS has also received an invitation and all will receive a gift from Santa!
At Stay and Play, parents will have an opportunity to do their Christmas shopping or enjoy a drink and cake at our Christmas Café, whilst the children enjoy fun and educational activities delivered by our staff. The vast range of activities will include Santa’s Grotto, the Nativity role-play, Arts and Craft activities as well as Christmas baking.
Please do spread the word to any friends who may be interested in a Huddersfield Grammar School education. To book a place at the Stay and Play session, please contact Mrs Garside at firstname.lastname@example.org or call the School Office.
